How to Publish a Website
Publishing a website in Framer is very straightforward. Simply click the Publish
button at the top right of the editor, and your site will automatically be generated with the framer.app
domain.

Note
: If you want to use a custom domain, follow the Custom Domain Setup Guide to configure it easily.
Staging and Production
With the Pro plan or higher, you can access a staging environment.
By navigating to the Staging
tab in the editor, you can test changes before the actual deployment. Once everything is ready, switch to the Production
tab and click the Latest Deployed
button to publish it live.

Reviewing Changes Before Publishing
Before publishing your site, clicking the View
button under Changes
allows you to see a list of edits and the profile images of users who made those edits. This process helps you thoroughly review all changes before deployment.
Checking Site Optimization
After publishing, you can check the site's optimization status. Look at the Optimized
text at the bottom of the editor. When it is blue or purple
, the site is fully optimized; if it's red, it indicates the need for modifications.

Clicking the red text will take you directly to the issue (e.g., nested link fixes or code errors).
Framer visually alerts you to optimization issues to enable quick resolution. If problems are complex or difficult to resolve, you can get assistance via Framer's contact page.
