What is an Affiliate Link?
An Affiliate Link is a method that allows you to track sign-ups through your unique URL and earn commissions (profits) when a user signs up for Framer. Simply put, if someone signs up for Framer through a link you've shared, you receive a certain percentage as a reward.
How to Obtain an Affiliate Link
Anyone who publishes Framer templates or plugins or receives manual approval and joins as a Framer expert can participate in the Creator Program. By participating in the program, the Links tab on the Creator Dashboard opens, allowing you to perform tasks like these:

Check the Main Affiliate Link
You are provided with a main link, a permanent URL. It can be freely attached anywhere like social media, portfolio, or newsletters, and tracks all user conversions. While it cannot be deleted, you can edit the slug (the end of the URL) on Dub.
Create Custom Links
You can create unlimited links tailored to your desired page, such as campaigns or specific channels.
Automatic Remix Link Creation
Upon remixing a project, a remix link is automatically generated in the dashboard. There is no need to set parameters separately.
Note: Links previously created using FirstPromoter still work and are currently automatically tracked by Dub.
Understanding How Affiliate Links Are Tracked
What is Dub?

All affiliate links in Framer operate through a tool called Dub. Dub primarily performs two tasks:
It tracks who clicked on the link you shared and whether it resulted in an actual sign-up and subscription.
It automatically settles generated commissions (profits) through Stripe.
Therefore, you must ensure that your payment information is entered correctly on Dub to receive profits smoothly. You can instantly access Dub from the Links tab on the Creator Dashboard, and manage detailed information directly within Dub.
Checking Real-time Data
All your Affiliate Links include real-time analysis (Analytics) features. The information available directly from the Links tab includes:

Number of link clicks
Number of new sign-ups
Number of subscription conversions
Generated revenue
Recently, numbers may appear higher than usual due to the transition of data (clicks/leads/sales data) from FirstPromoter to Dub. However, please note that the final profit amount is accurately reflected.
What is a Sign-up Link?
A Sign-up Link is a referral link specifically for new users. Through this link, if someone creates a new account with Framer and later converts to a paid subscription, you can earn a commission.

You can find the basic link (e.g., framer.link/name) in the Link tab of the Creator Space. By clicking the "New Link" button at the top-right of the links tab, you can connect additional sign-up links.
Here are the rules you must know when using Sign-up links:
For new users only: The sign-up link applies only to new users. If someone with an existing Framer account signs up or pays through their own link, no commission will be earned.
Priority for template purchase: Even if someone signed up through your link, if they purchase a template, the commission goes to the template creator.
Use Remix links for client work: When handing over specific client projects, a
Remix Linkis more suitable than a Sign-up link. It allows for project-based tracking which directly connects to your profit if the client subscribes.
How to Transfer Projects to Clients
Create a project with your account (the account with the Affiliate Link activated).
Use the
Project Transferfeature to hand it over to the client. When the client pays for a plan on the project, the commission is automatically paid and displayed on the Creator Dashboard.
Note: To learn more about Dub, read the article on Getting Started with Dub.
Customizing Your Links
You can edit your link slug on Dub. (e.g., framer.link/steve → framer.link/peter)
However, in this case, the existing link will stop working and only redirect to the Framer homepage. Moreover, all clicks within the project won't be tracked. If you decide to change the slug of the link, make sure to update all shared posts and pages.
Notes
Please check the following notes carefully, and if you need help, contact creators@framer.com.

Linkstab. You can embed Affiliate links even in free templatesand commissions will still be paid.Inserting Affiliate links in paid advertisements is prohibitedand can result in exclusion from the program if violated.
