What's changed?

Framer has moved from shared IPs to dedicated IP addresses managed internally. This change offers the following benefits:

  • Faster and more stable connections

  • Minimized security warnings from past usage history

  • Quick response even in emergencies

Note: Currently, this change only applies to Framer Enterprise plan users.

How to update your DNS settings

In the DNS settings of your domain hosting service (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.), please follow the steps below.

1. Add new A records

Add the two A records below.

  • 31.43.160.19

  • 31.43.161.19

Note: Do not delete the existing A records yet.

How to verify

  1. Visit dnschecker.org

  2. Enter your domain and check the A Record

  3. Ensure that all four Framer IP addresses appear in every location

  • If you see a green check in all regions, it's good to go.

  • If you see X marks or inconsistent results per region, check back later.

Note: DNS updates usually take several hours and could take up to 24 hours.

2. Remove existing A records

If everything is fine in the above DNS check, delete all existing Framer A records.

  • Now, only the two new IPs added remain as the A records.

  • The site will continue to work normally, and DNS updates can take up to 24 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Why do we need to change DNS settings?
Framer is gradually switching to a new IP system, and the old IPs will be supported only until July 1, 2025.

Q. Will my site go down if I don't change the settings?
It won’t go down immediately, but you might receive ongoing alerts and face connectivity issues in the long run.

Q. I'm worried my site might not open temporarily.
Don't worry. The old IPs will still be active during the transition to the new IPs, so your site will run smoothly.
