It's crucial for a website to function smoothly when running it. If errors occur after modifying your site, you can easily revert to a previously working version using the Version History feature in Framer.
Restoring Content with Version History
Framer automatically saves multiple versions of your project at different points in time. You can restore content from previous file versions using the “Version History” feature.

How to Access
Click the Framer logo in the upper left corner
Select File → Version History (Shortcut:
⇧ ⌘ Hon Mac,⇧ Ctrl Hon Windows)
You can now view the list of previous versions. Framer automatically generates breakpoints and identifies identical content to assist with integration without conflicts.
Auto-Save Intervals
Keep in mind that previous versions open in preview mode and are displayed as snapshots.
Within the last 4 hours: At 5-minute intervals
Within the last 24 hours: At 1-hour intervals
Afterward: Saved daily
This structure allows you to quickly move to the needed point without reviewing numerous versions.

Creating a Safe Testing Environment Before Restoration
Before applying content copied from a previous version directly to a live site, it's advisable to use a Staging environment. Staging is a replica of your actual site and allows you to identify/fix issues or test changes without affecting users.

Setting Up a Staging Environment
Go to Site Settings
Select the “Staging & Versions” tab from the left menu
Enable Staging
Once you verify that restored content functions correctly in Staging and there are no issues, click the Publish button to apply it to the live site.
Following this process ensures the site can be recovered reliably without affecting user experience even if problems arise. If issues persist after following this guide, you can get additional support via the Contact page.
