Enterprise True-Up
Framer's Enterprise billing ensures flexibility and transparency in managing paid seats, sites, and add-on services.
Enterprise Plan Billing
In the Enterprise plan, the main account holder (e.g., billing contact) is contacted directly to verify the number of billable seats and sites. This plan operates on an annual subscription basis and conducts True-Ups every 2 months. True-Up reflects any additional paid seats, sites, locales, and other add-ons that were added throughout the year into the contract.
True-Up is calculated organization-wide and includes all workspaces, users, and sites within an organization. For more details, refer to Framer's Organizations documentation.
Billable Items in the Enterprise Plan
Paid Seats: Editor and Admin
Free Seats: Viewer (can be added without limit and at no cost)
Sites: Projects with a custom domain or reverse proxy set up
Exceeding contract restrictions on items like locales or form submissions may incur additional costs. Learn how to move site plans between projects.

Flexibility of the Enterprise Plan
With the Enterprise plan, you can operate in the following ways:
Pre-purchase a set number of paid seats and sites with an annual contract.
Add paid seats or sites at any time.
(When a Viewer in a project or workspace upgrades to an Editor role, that seat is automatically converted to a paid seat. The converted user can continue using Framer for free until the next True-up period (bimonthly adjustment), ensuring seamless team collaboration and reducing the average cost per seat.)Decide whether to keep the additional Editor seats added during the True-up period and pay a prorated amount or downgrade them back to Viewer (free).
Note: To prevent unexpected increases in paid seats, it is recommended to assign new users to Viewer by default. In the Enterprise plan, new users are added as Viewers by default. You can change the default to Editor in the settings if needed.
True-Up Timeline
Bimonthly adjustments
If overuse of an account is detected, Framer notifies the designated contact via email or Slack.
A review and adjustment period of 2 weeks is provided after the notification, after which the billing amount is finalized.
An email/Slack message summarizing the billable seats and sites since the last billing date is sent.
Addition reminders are provided one week and three days before the True-Up deadline.
User Management During True-Up
During the 2-week True-up period, administrators can:
Review the current list of paid seats
Downgrade users who no longer require paid seats
Review and finalize the invoice amount
Checking Paid Seats During True-Up
Additional paid seats and sites added during the billing period are only billed after the admin (or designated contact) reviews the invoice during the True-up period.
Downgrade Users and Sites
Note: To downgrade a site during a True-up or renewal, you must remove the custom domain from the project. Redirecting DNS records or moving pages to another project won't suffice if the custom domain isn't removed; the site will still be considered active.
Finalization Stage
After reviewing and adjusting seats and sites, the designated contact must confirm the updated agreement.
Prorated charges are added to the next billing cycle.
Additional seats or sites confirmed after this review will be reflected in the next True-up.
Payment
Payments for the True-up are processed according to the method specified in the Enterprise contract.
To include a Purchase Order (PO) in the invoice, submit it to the account management team.
Framer issues a single invoice for each True-up.
If you have questions about the True-up process, contact the account manager via email or Slack channel.
