This document was created to help domestic users learning Framer, who face difficulties due to the lack of Korean resources, by translating the contents of the official blog into Korean and adding practical information. Hope it provides a little assistance to those using Framer.

Why change to a new hosting IP?

Framer is continuously working to enhance the hosting experience for users' sites. One of the biggest improvements recently is the introduction of a new set of IP addresses. Since Framer owns and manages these IPs directly, they offer advantages like the following.

  • Securing control: More stable operation without being affected by external services

  • Preventing security issues: As they are "clean IPs" with no issues from previous use, the likelihood of security flags is reduced

The transition process is very simple, so if you set it up in advance, you can maintain a stable hosting environment in the future.

New DNS setup information

To use the new hosting, you need to add the DNS records below at the service where you purchased your domain. Just add the following three records exactly as they are.

How to update DNS records

Domain registrars and hosting companies generally offer custom panels for DNS management. Documentation for the most commonly used domain registrars is below. Refer to the documents suitable for your provider for easier processing.

Example cases:

Step-by-step transition guide

1. Add new A records first

First, add the new A records to your DNS settings. At this stage, do not delete the existing Framer IP.

  • 31.43.160.6

  • 31.43.161.6

2. Check DNS propagation

After adding the A records, check with DNS Checker whether the new DNS records and the previous DNS records are globally propagating.
If you see green check marks in all regions, propagation is successful. If you see errors, wait until the DNS changes take effect. If there are issues after 24 hours, you should contact your domain provider.

3. Remove existing Framer IP

Once propagation is complete, delete the two existing A records.

  • 52.223.52.2

  • 35.71.142.77

Now the DNS will only return the new Framer IPs. It may take up to 24 hours for the changes to fully reflect, but the site will remain accessible during this period.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q. Do I have to update the DNS?

  • Yes. Framer will operate primarily on the new IP system going forward. Support for existing IPs will end on July 1, 2025.

Q. Will my site become inaccessible immediately if I don't update?

  • No, the site will remain accessible, but as the transition is delayed, you will receive more frequent warning messages, and long-term issues may arise, so it is best to update as soon as possible.

Q. Can I change my DNS after July 1, 2025?

  • No, your site will not immediately go offline, but notifications will be periodically sent until the update is completed. The site will not go offline immediately, but Framer will continue to send notifications, and there could be future impacts.
